Yale Kushner is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (focusing on substance and chemical addictions) who provides individual, group and couples counseling. He completed his Master’s degree in Counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary in May 2017.
Prior to entering the mental health field, Yale spent the better part of the past 40 years engaging with people from many walks of life as a coach, mentor, lay counselor, accountability partner, and trainer/teacher. He is sensitive to cultural differences since he has lived in Israel and France, speaks three languages — English, French and Arabic — and has spent significant time traveling the world. He has a deep spiritual life and enjoys interacting with those who desire to have a connection with their Higher Power.
Yale has an intuitiveness that only comes with age and experience and knows how to talk about the challenging dimensions of life in honest and transparent ways. One of his counseling specialties is helping clients manage major life transitions such as relocation, parenting challenges, and personal destructive habits/addictions. Given his 43-year marriage, four adult children and eight grandchildren, Yale possesses the life experience to help clients navigate almost any situation or challenge.
Yale has been with New Leaf Center since May 2016. He moved to Colorado Springs, CO, in October 2019 and now serves New Leaf Center clients remotely through secure electronic communications.
