Dee Riggins

Office Manager

Dee Riggins comes to New Leaf Center after a 30-plus year career in client service, customer service and retail sales auditing.

Dee started her career as a client service representative with Sentinel Direct, the direct marketing division of The Orlando Sentinel, a Tribune Media product. Dee earned several Presidents Awards for outstanding client service as a member of several teams during her tenure at the Sentinel.

A part-time, seasonal job while working there led to a career change and an opportunity to be part of the team that opened the first Kohl’s department store in Central Florida. Dee served as an Ad Set Associate and subsequently was promoted to Ad Set Team Leader, spearheading the store’s employees who were responsible for posting and ensuring the accuracy of the store’s merchandise signage. In March 2011, Dee’s store was the first to receive a perfect score on its signage that year from Kohl’s national auditing team during one of its surprise audits.

Dee spent the last nine years working for California-based Advantage Sales and Marketing (ASM). As a Retail Sales Representative for this national company, she served on a team whose primary responsibility was to ensure national products – such as Smuckers, Ferrero Rocher and Marzetti – received proper store placement to meet their sales goals. In addition, Dee conducted monthly audits on a national retail drug chain to ensure its stores were compliant with all HIPPA, ADA and FDA regulations. None of Dee’s stores flunked their federal audits during her time working with both the pharmacy and store managers.

Dee is a 1986 graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., and a native of that city. She is an avid fan of women’s collegiate basketball and the WNBA.

Special Message from Darlene:
Dear Friends – Well, the time has come for me to retire from New Leaf Center.
It was exciting to be a part of forming this wonderful place with Dan in 1990, and it’s been very special supporting Jackie and Patti when they became the owners in 2015.
Additionally special has been the opportunity to get to know all of you and sharing your friendship. I so appreciated your love and support when we lost Dan, and I will always be thankful for you.
My last day at New Leaf Center will be July 25, 2023.
I’m looking forward to retirement and enjoying time with friends and family. I am grateful for the last 33+ years and I’m excited to see what God has planned for me in the next chapter.
With love and gratitude,
