Meagan Seago has joined New Leaf Center as an Administrative Assistant. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida (UCF), with a minor in Criminal Justice.
While at UCF, Meagan was a member of many psychology-related student organizations. She served as the President of the Psychological Society, and she was a mentor to new students each semester. She also has been a Peer Educator at the on-campus counseling center.
While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Meagan interned at the Mental Health Association of Central Florida as a Mental Health Connection Specialist. There, she helped provide mental health referrals to individuals seeking services.
Following completion of her degree at UCF, Meagan began her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rollins College. She is scheduled to graduate in May 2020. She completed her first practicum experience at New Hope for Kids, where she helped lead a grief group for children between the ages of 3 and 19.
After graduation from Rollins College, Meagan plans to complete additional trainings and certifications in specialty areas. These include Play Therapy and EMDR.
Please join us in welcoming Meagan to New Leaf Center. We are grateful to have her as a part of our team.
