Mary Beth has worked as a licensed therapist in Florida for more than 16 years. She has served couples and individuals on their journey to build healthy internal connections and restore strong relationships.
In addition to specializing in helping couples, she works with adults dealing with sexual addiction and the aftermath of trauma, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, and neglect suffered in childhood or as an adult. She also helps clients deal with chronic illness; trauma caused by accidents; medical trauma, including abortion; and other disturbing life events that can interfere with an individual’s positive sense of self.
Mary Beth works with clients facing dual diagnosis, PTSD, dependency issues, anger issues, anxiety, depression, substance and process addictions, spiritual issues, grief and loss, and other mental health challenges. Her clinical approach is eclectic, including ego-state therapy and EMDR, an innovative somatic therapy to address the issues of PTSD.
Mary Beth is President of the local Greater Orlando network for EMDR therapists, and she is a member of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She also is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association (FMHCA), and the Central Florida Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CFAMFT).
Mary Beth has been with New Leaf Center since June 2019.
